Description: Best MF DOOM Songs, Best Rap Songs 2020 (Greatest Hits) MF DOOM, Masked Rapper With Intricate Rhymes, Is Dead at 49 Born Daniel Dumile, MF DOOM built a cult following with his wordplay and comic-book style. Daniel Dumile (January 1971 – 31 October 2020) was a British-American rapper. He performed and released music under several stage names, most notably MF DOOM (stylised in all caps). A major figure in underground hip hop of the 21st century, Dumile was described in Variety upon his death as "one of the most celebrated, unpredictable and enigmatic figures in independent hip-hop". Born in London, Dumile moved to Long Island, New York, at a young age. He began his musical career in 1988 as a member of the trio KMD, performing under the name Zev Love X; the group disbanded in 1993 upon the death of member DJ Subroc (Dumile's brother). After a hiatus from music, Dumile reemerged in 1998 when he began performing at open mic events while wearing a metal mask resembling that of Marvel Comics super-villain Doctor Doom, who is depicted on the cover of his 1999 debut solo album Operation: Doomsday. He adopted the MF Doom persona and rarely made unmasked public appearances thereafter. Dumile's most prolific period was in the early 2000s, when between 2003 and 2005 he released four studio albums (including 2004's Mm..Food) and two collaborative albums, using the MF DOOM moniker as well as the pseudonyms King Geedorah and Viktor Vaughn. His sixth and final solo studio album, Born Like This, was released in 2009. In the 2010s, Dumile relocated to London, where he recorded more music. Dumile frequently collaborated with other producers and rappers, most notably Madlib, under the moniker Madvillain. The duo's 2004 album Madvillainy received widespread critical acclaim upon its release and has been cited as Dumile's magnum opus and a landmark album in hip hop. Dumile's other notable collaborations include Danger Doom (with Danger Mouse), Doomstarks (with Ghostface Killah), JJ Doom (with Jneiro Jarel), Top 50 MF DOOM Songs: 50 - 3rd Bass, KMD & Reggie Ossé - The Gas Face (1989) 49 - Bishop Nehru & MF DOOM - MEATHEAD (2020) 48 - MF DOOM - My Favorite Ladies (2009) 47 - MF DOOM - Gas Drawls (1999) 46 - Vast Aire & MF DOOM - Da Supafriendz (2004) 45 - MADVILLAIN - Operation Lifesaver (2004) 44 - JJ DOOM - GUV'NOR (2012) 43 - KMD - What A Niggy Know?
